Posting pics

I know this has probably been answered a million times but I just added a few pics to the gallery but how do we post them to a post, and how do we shrink them the pics we just added are monsterous? any help please thank you.

I have found that the easiest way is to use photobucket. Just upload them there than use the direct link.

You can do the same thing using the link for the image in the SC gallery too if you already have the images there.

Just copy the url like this one

http://www.salt-city.org/gallery/fil...6_original.jpg

then paste it using the little yellow icon with the mountain and the sun.

oh..you might resize them to like 800x600 too.

or you can use the links in each picture thats in the gallery...
even a thumbnail link....

I've been having trouble posting pics they all come up as thumbnails. I think I am doing the same thing I always have been doing but they just come up as thumbnails. Has anything changed?

You will need to use some kind of a photo/image editing program. Most pc's come with one. If not here is free online one. http://www.resizeyourimage.com/
Just browse for your pic on you pc once loaded then re-size it. When you get the size you want click the re-size your image button. Once it is done, just right click on the image and save to your computer. around 600 x ? is a good size.

I see the confusion. There are two different galleries now. You are uploading your pics in your profile gallery, which is fine. When you do that you need to do what jnicho stated above.

If anyone wants a decent free photo editor, I've been screwing around with pixlr.com and it works decently well for standard stuff.
