Looking at doing a dwarf lion and an angler in an lps tank in my 28g cube. I know they both inhale food whole but wasn't sure relative to the size of the fish how small a 3rd fish could be without becoming a meal.

After several months of building a fish room and gathering equipment, I finally have water, sand and rock in my tank. This is how it
looks so far. I like the minimal more open look, but I still have plenty of rock and plan on working on my aquascape some more.
I bought the Apex lite and VDM module and have been playing with the programming. I bought 1 Apollo Reef LED dimmable, with plans on getting another eventually. I centered it above my tank and was surprised how well one unit lit up the tank. The pics aren't very good nor do they show how well it actually looks. It's small a point and shoot camera. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

The new movie possession is based on a true story with Missouri ties. The owner of the box from the movie lives like 15 minutes from my house in Kirksville and still has the box inside his home. He works at my school. The trailer was released today you guys should check it out if you want. His daughter who is in college now is suppose to be the girl from the movie.

Hello everyone! I'm brand new to this exciting hobby and could use any knowledge one is willing to share! I just put live rock in yesterday and will start adding fish to my starter tank soon. I'm starting with a 29gal biocube for now.... My goal is to make it colorful, full of coral, and lots of movement! I have a good idea for what my starter fish will be. Mother of 3 boys of course we have to have a nemo and mini dori!

let me know your thoughts and ideas on fish, frags, best place to purchase them, and anything else you want to share?!

alright everybody, a lot has happened in the past few days so I wanted to update everyone on here and get some more great advice on my next moves !

So I moved the tank from my moms to my new place finally, last night...I was able to set everything up last night, get my two fish back in there and after a lot of rearranging of rocks, the water looks nice and clear this morning. I did a water change last week, changed 10g of water using RODI and already noticed a huge difference in clarity and my cyano. during the water change I cleaned my canister filter for the,first time in a long time (way way wayyyy over due.) my fluval hob doesn't seem to be working properly, so IM currently just running a fluval 405 canister, which is still good for my size tank so I'll worry about that in a couple days ..

So tomorrow I plan on doing another water change, testing water later in the day, and hitting the store/internet to start pricing new things I may need to buy.. On my list is definitely a new top, light fixture, and anything you guys suggest/add!

I have the K1 Kalk Stirrer and it is very well made.

My wife and I are flying out of KC on Sunday, so if enough people are interested in some coral we will go down to kc a day early unload the coral and stay overnight before we leave Sunday. I am moving to Michigan in a month so I am kind of forced to lighten my coral load before I move. Most of this is SPS, with a couple zoa frags and grapes of wrath frags. A few of the frags I ordered online and they browned out shortly after arrival, I am selling these at a considerable lower price than I bought them for. If I had time I would just hold onto them so they could color up before I sell. If possible I would like to be payed by paypal, because if the person wanting the coral doesn't make it to the swap Saturday, I have no way of bringing the coral back home. If you are uncomfortable with that we can work something out. Many of the SPS frags were cut Saturday, but some were cut earlier. If you have any questions let me know.

Had to learn the hard way. I purchased a small 2" lemon peel angel. Love the colors on this fish and had to have it. Well after two weeks it took to eating a octopus LPS. In one day it killed it by just picking at it. So it had to go. I tore down my reef and removed the Lemon Peel along with a mean hippo, large yellow tang and a very mean damsel. Wow what a differance all my other fish now come out and I love the new landscape I came up with.

So in the end its all good !

Well after searching for a while I just received an email from a shop in NY saying he just received 4 whitetail bristletooth tangs. He said they are most likely going to be around 4" but will be sending me size/pricing/pics later once he gets back from the airport and gets them acclimated. I'll update as I get updates and confirm they are the correct fish but figured I would give a heads up in case anyone else was wanting one.
